Wikki Stix

Since the kids are both under the weather, we have been doing a lot of fun at home projects instead of being out and about.  Wikki stixs are something I used in teaching and loved them then.  I recently came across them in all my teaching boxes and decided to pull them out for our kids.  Instant fun!  These are sticky strings that you can mold and shape into anything, cut them, and then come off easily to use again and again.

We used our wikki stix to make people, letters, and other designs.  They are also fun for highlighting words in books.  Isaiah is working on the word “and” so whenever we find it in a book, we can highlight it by putting a small piece of wikki   it.  You can order them online, we bought ours at Lakeshore.

Hopefully my children will be over their colds soon, but in the meantime, we’ll be playing!
