The kids were so excited that their Nana and Papaw were coming to visit them! Hip Hip Hooray! To get ready and built their anticipation, we made a list of things we wanted to do with them. Isaiah really wanted to go camping, but having temperatures under 30 degrees did not allow us to do this. We decided we’d do an indoor campout one night instead. We had a lot of fun. The kids each layed out their sleeping bags under their tent (blankets over chairs), and got our their flashlights. We sang some songs, made animal noises (owls, coyotes), told stories, and laughed a lot. Isaiah thought we needed a fire, so we used one from their play camping from little people and had that set up as well. We dimmed the lights and it was a lot of fun. To end the campout we made s’mores. I looked up a recipe on-line and basically we broiled the marshmallows on high for about 1 minute per side, put them inside the chocolate and graham cracker for a tasty treat! It was a lot of fun, I think next time I might look for glow in the dark stars and put those on the ceiling, that would add a little more to the atmosphere. Happy Camping!
