More Fun with Ice
Before church the other day, my kids really wanted to mix colors and do some activities together. I basically let them choose what they wanted. They each picked a color and we saw that blue and yellow made green! It was fun to watch the water change colors when we added the blue. Then Isaiah got the idea of putting some of the ice from my water bottle in. The water we had filled the sink with was warm, so it melted so quickly. Isaiah noticed and asked to add more ice. What a great idea! We put cup fulls at a time into the sink and watched them melt more and more slowly. We had a great talk about why it is harder to melt now. Isaiah’s eyes lit up and he said, “Ayla, it is because the water is so cold now, feel it!” It was a great experiment, pretty much self directed by the kids, all I did was ask questions.
