Thankful Basket

Thanksgiving comes at the perfect time of year.  Just when my children have gorged themselves on sweets and are making their way to long Christmas lists, I get the chance to teach them to be grateful for all God has blessed them with.  We are doing a thankful basket this year.  This sits in the middle of our table and each night at dinner we each add a thing or two we are thankful for.  On Thanksgiving we will read through them.  There are so many cute ways to do this with kids, I have seen a large turkey with the feathers written their thankful things, a thankful tree with the leaves, or even tracing your child’s hand and making a wreath, but this year we went simple. Happy Playing!
