Homemade Toy

Isaiah found this idea in a paper plate craft book I checked out from the library.  It is pretty simple.  Cut off a third of the paper plate.  Roll it up so it is coned shaped and staple it closed.  Add decorations, stickers, markers, etc.  Thread a bead with a string and attach it to the bottom, or closed, end of the paper plate.  The idea of the toy is to try to hold onto the paper plate and try to swing the bead into the open part of the paper plate.  It is much harder than it looks, but the kids sure enjoyed making their own toy.
