A Unique Way to learn Sight Words

This idea came from my son’s kindergarten teacher, and I love it!  She wrote out their sight words on a sheet of paper and had the kids use a needle to poke through the lines (obviously, kids need to be supervised with this).  Then they held them up to the window and the light shines through, showing the sight words.  I love it!  What a great way to get the hands on learning of the sight words.  We taped them to the window so he can practice reading them when we open his curtains in the morning.
