Family Fun Friday- Christmas Tree

Good-bye Thanksgiving, hello Christmas season!  I am loving our family fun nights.  It helps us to be more intentional about spending some good quality time with our kids, without spending lots of money.  Here is what we are up to.

Tonight we will be focusing on Christmas trees!  For our advent countdown we will be making Christmas trees to hide our clues underneath for the special surprise for that day.  To make the trees cut green paper or foam into a half circle and roll it up like a tree.  Decorate them with whatever you have handy.  Glitter, beads, macaroni noodles, etc.  Then put numbers on them to make your count down.  *This didn’t work well for us, we decorated a few, but had trouble keeping the buttons and other items on our trees, moving on to a new countdown.

We are also going to get our actual Christmas tree and put it up!

Make Christmas trees out of sugar ice cream cones, green food coloring, and small candy pieces to be the lights.

I will do this one again, so simple yet so much fun!
