Making Friends

With my kids back to school and making new friends, I thought it would be beneficial to talk to them about what makes a good friend.  This is good for them to see what characteristics others will like about them, as well as encourage them to choose their friends based on these qualities.  Here is our list.  Sorry for no picture, I didn’t have the camera on hand.

A Good Friend

* Shares their toys

* Helps you if you need something

* Speaks kindly

* Plays with you

A Good Friend Doesn’t

* Hit, push, kick, bite, etc.

* Talk in a rude way

* Hog all the good toys

* Ignore you

Role playing different scenarios with friends could be helpful too.  Enjoy!
